Rosie Tee’s new track, ‘Lectern’, explores “information overload and digital crosstalk” via her distinctive experimental electronic pop sound. The composer-performer and her band create an innovative blend of psychedelia and electronica, underpinned by avant-garde influences. The end result is a piece with a sound unlike anything you’ve ever heard: unexpected harmonic choices during the distant, creepy verses that burst to life via an explosion of distorted, sometimes microtonal sound in the intense, dense chorus. The video that accompanies the track is suitably strange, with an eye-catching colour palette of pinks and yellows being brought to life by perfect lighting.
